Building the future of digital experiences through design, technology, and human imagination

About

I'm Thomas — a design engineer in Lisbon who came to the web through business, fell for it, and never stopped pushing what it can do. I care about craft, precision, and building things that feel different.

I work at the intersection of design and code — 3D experiences, scroll-driven stories, and motion-rich interfaces. I think in systems but obsess over details. The kind of work that takes a week longer because it deserves it.

Beyond creative development I have roots in product design, UX, and full-stack engineering. Before tech I spent five years in operations: planning, strategy, logistics. That context still shapes how I work — I want to know what a project has to achieve, not only how it should look.

Currently

Outside client work I explore 3D environments, game mechanics, and the seams between creative tools — where art, engineering and product thinking overlap. I'm drawn to generative systems, emergent design, and building things just to understand how they work. I learn by building. Always have.

Approach

I don't separate design from engineering — they're the same conversation. I start with the problem, build with intention, and don't stop until the details are right. I ask questions before opening Figma, and I push back when something doesn't serve the goal.

Purpose

I got into this because the web felt like the most democratic creative medium ever made. Anyone could build something real and put it in front of the world. That still drives me.

What to expect

Clarity from day one: I scope carefully, communicate directly, and flag problems early. Opinionated collaboration — I bring perspective, not just execution. And work that holds up: performant, maintainable, built to last rather than to ship.
